From "where
should I go" to
"I'm here, what now."
An editorial travel app for the road. Plan it. Read the guide. Pack what matters. Arrive with the trail cached. Then live the day, paced for the place.
Set the destination, the season, the pace.
A city, a region, or a vibe. A few sliders for pace and budget. Pick a template if you want, or start from scratch. Two minutes.
- 01Pick a destination — or two, or a whole region.
- 02Set dates. Wend handles seasons, festivals, weather windows.
- 03Tell us your pace: "three-coffee mornings" to "dawn-train monastic."
The field guide arrives — by hand.
Six tabs per destination: Get there, Stay, Do, Eat, Money, Tips. Side-doors for the famous things. The one place a local insists you eat first. No tile-soup, no sponsored pins.
- 01An overview, written like Lonely Planet — voice, opinion, why this place.
- 02Sealed field notes — short sentences, real reasoning.
- 03Money guide per country: three budget bands, ATM tips, the scam to know.
A "before you go" list you'll actually use.
A time-gated checklist that surfaces items as your trip approaches — month, fortnight, week, day. Region-aware packing. Anchored prices for 22 routes so you know what's a good fare.
- 01Packing checklists tuned to where you're going.
- 02Anchored prices — search and we tell you if it beats the anchor.
- 03Trip download — every photo pre-warmed before you fly.
The app stops being an app.
Wend goes quiet. A sealed note pinned at the top. A compass to the first stop. One CTA — begin. The whole guide is already on the device; the airport's wifi was never going to work anyway.
- 01No tile-grid. No upsell. No notification spam.
- 02Auto-cached the moment you tap "download" — pre-flight or in baggage claim.
- 03Live compass to the next stop. GPS-only. No signal needed.
Travel by the trail, not the tile.
Your day as a vertical timeline. Past faded, future patient, now warm. The next thing surfaces when you finish the last one.
- 01Living Trail — your day as a timeline you can't scroll past.
- 02Auto night mode for sleeper trains and 6am temple visits.
- 03Trusted-contact pulse — one tap to send "all good" with your live location.
Things people ask before they go.
How is Wend different from a normal travel app?
Normal travel apps are shopping malls — pins, ratings, sponsored placements. Wend is editorial: a guide written by hand, in sentences, with reasoning. Side-doors for the famous things. The one place to eat first.
Who writes Wend's content?
An editorial team, slow-drawn, in Lonely-Planet voice. Each destination is hand-written and reviewed before it ships. No algorithmic generation, no aggregated ratings.
Where does Wend cover?
At launch: 23 destinations across Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia, plus 4 in Australia and New Zealand. More regions — Central America, South America, South Asia, East Africa — to follow.
Does Wend work offline?
Yes. Tap "download" on a trip and the whole guide caches — trail, photos, fact pills, money guide, sealed notes. The compass is GPS-only, no signal needed.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse. Sign in with Apple if you want trips, bookmarks and settings to sync between your devices. We use Apple's pseudonymous identifier — we never see your real Apple ID or password.
Do you sell my data?
No. Wend doesn't run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. See the privacy policy for the full breakdown.
